
Heinrich-Wieland-Preis 2012
To promote research on biologically active molecules and systems in the areas
of chemistry, biochemistry and physiology as well as on their clinical impact,
the Boehringer Ingelheim Foundation endows the Heinrich Wieland Prize.
The prize is named in honor of Heinrich Wieland (1877-1957),
a Nobel Prize laureate in chemistry.

The
HEINRICH WIELAND PRIZE
consists of the Heinrich Wieland Medal and a sum of
50,000 Euros.
THE APPLICATION PROCESS 2012 IS CLOSED
The presentation of the prize will take place on 18 October, 2012.
The prize winner will be selected by a board of trustees:
Wolfgang Baumeister (Martinsried, Chair), Georg Ertl (Würzburg), Alois Fürstner (Mülheim/Ruhr), Hans-Georg Joost (Potsdam), Paul Knochel (Munich),
Walther Rosenthal (Berlin-Buch), Gerd Schnorrenberg (Biberach), Petra Schwille (Dresden), Rudolf Tauber (Berlin), Felix Wieland (Heidelberg),
Hanns Ulrich Zeilhofer (Zurich)
Nominations or applications should include the following documents:
1) in hard copy: summary of no more than two pages in German or English,
CV and list of the five most relevant publications from the past 10 years
2) on CD: bibliography and manuscripts of the five listed publications
